Bisquick Mix- just add wet ingredients

BISQUICK MIX- store in mylar bags (I don’t recommend oven-canning, the shortening will melt).

JUST ADD WET INGREDIENTS:

Ingredients:
1 Bag of Flour (5lb. bag)
5 Teaspoons Salt
20 Teaspoons Sugar
2/3 Cup Baking Powder
2 Cups Shortening (Crisco Style, no butter or margarine)

First, dump the flour into the bowl and add all of the other dry ingredients.

Using a whisk, mix the dry ingredients together.

Next, measure out the 2 Cups of shortening and put it on top of your dry ingredients. Keep mixing and rubbing the shortening in until there are no visible pieces of shortening left and the mixture seems uniform.   Store in mylar bags or ziplocks. Do not oven-can!

****USE MIX JUST LIKE YOU WOULD WITH STORE-BOUGHT BISQUICK***

Follow recipes on back of box or from your cook book for wet ingredient list. (Recipes vary, which is why no wet ingredients have been listed here. You can use Bisquick mix to make bisquits, pancakes, hoe-cakes, shortcake, rolls, and much more!)
